“I’ve never seen something like that!” – shouted Alice when the Cat disappeared from her eyes but his smile remained visible. Can the phenomena of Wonderland be repeated once more?
How to use?
Ask someone to sit in front of you, lean your forehead onto the mask and fold the mirror until it covers one of the mask’s eye-holes. Look steadily to your mate’s face for 20-25 seconds with your free eye, then start moving your hand -that is on the side of your covered eye- in a way that you see it in the mirror!
What happens?
The face of your friend will slowly blur, and if you do it well, then it will totally disappear as if you wiped it off with your hand. Our brain reacts more strongly to movements than to still images. This derives from our survival instincts as motion meant danger in the past; our brain sets itself to the sensation of the moving hand instead of the motionless face, it does not recognise it, this is why the other’s face “gets erased”.
