DigITér Debrecen

Would you like to meet a humanoid robot? Would you explore the Earth or dive into the depths of the sea? Want to know what makes a home “smart”? Keep up with the 21st Century! In DigITér, with the help of the most modern technologies, those interested can get to know the digital world, which now completely affects our everyday lives.

In the exhibition space of the Debrecen Digital Experience Centre several types of robots and robotic arms, 3D printers, and diverse devices of virtual and augmented reality await all the curious visitors. You can learn, for example, how to control a smart home’s cooling and heating system, garage door, window shutter, various household appliances, or security system remotely via the Internet, but You can also see a smart vacuum cleaner, smart lighting, and smart coffee maker during operation.

Our goal is to encourage young students to try out the latest info-communication and digital tools in a playful, fun, and creative way, as well as to arouse their interest in digital knowledge-based IT careers. Acquiring digital competencies is practically vital for today’s generation, who need to keep up with the 21st Century and its challenges.

In the small group sessions of DigITér, not only children can learn how to operate and control robots, but they can also build a robot that sees, hears, moves, and even fights. Special robotics kits developed for young people provide an opportunity for students to learn about engineering thinking and the basics of robotics and modern programming while also having fun. Sessions with a variety of themes also introduce students to the mysteries of electronics and circuits through exciting tasks, but children can also make their animated short films or even 3D works of art.

DigITér is located on the first level of the Agóra Science Centre in Debrecen. The programs of the Digital Centre are free, but can only be visited after pre-registration – and confirmation. School groups are welcome from Tuesday to Friday, and you can register individually for Saturday’s family programs and professional classes.
